Add more melted vegan butter to the tops and bake for 19-22 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown. Use your finger or a brush to paint milk on the edge you left without filling. Roll out the rectangle for the top a bit more so it fits and place it on top. Seal all around the edges by gently pressing with your fingers, then use a fork as well. Cut the excess edges of the pop tart to get a nice and perfect shape.

The apple pie filling can also be made the night before for easy assembly the next morning. Just make sure its cool before spooning onto your cold pastry. How to Store Homemade Pop Tarts To make optional glaze: combine powdered sugar, vanilla, and 1–2 tablespoons of milk into a small mixing bowl, whisking until glaze is smooth. Add additional milk, if needed to get the right consistency. Place the 9 rectangles on a large parchment paper lined baking tray. Place the tray in the fridge to keep dough cold.
