About this deal

In season 5, he and Eric Northman are arrested for the murder of Nan Flanigan. The two are brought to the Authority's underground base, where he eventually accepts the Book of Lilith. Bill is left competing with Salome for the vial of Lilith's blood, which he eventually wins by killing her. After drinking Lilith's blood, despite Eric and Sookie trying to convince him not to, Bill begins to bleed out and dies. Moments later, however, he is resurrected as a more powerful vampire, now having the strength of Lilith as well.

Bill, concerned with Eric's power over him and Sookie, decides to improve his own position within their vampire hierarchy. He asks Bubba, a dim-witted vampire, to protect Sookie while he is gone. We all know Sookie is going to meet someone new, whether its a new supe or a new 'person' & the plot pretty much is the same: she's in trouble, she's out of trouble, she knows of trouble, or trouble is headed for her, but generally the same plot! I didn't ever really get into this book. Although it was a good book I didn't enjoy it as much as other vampire series I've read like Twilight by Stephenie Meyer or The Morganville Vampire Series by Rachel Caine. I already own the second and the third in the series so I will be reading them but whether or not I think the series will get better I don't honestly know. There are a couple of things that really annoyed me that I have to call out. First, throughout the series, Harris insults the reader's intelligence by discounting Sookie's. For example, we are constantly reminded that Sookie is merely a waitress and doesn't have a college education; the larger words in Sookie's vocabulary are always explained as being from her Word-a-Day calendar (gah!); and her entire knowledge about the world is apparently based on romance novels and mysteries, because she says so. Why can't she just be a smart, sassy heroine, damn it? This article describes a work or element of fiction in a primarily in-universe style. Following the end of Sookie's recorded adventures, Charlaine wrote the "Midnight, Texas" books, which have become a television series, also. The Aurora Teagarden books have been adapted by Hallmark Movie & Mystery.

Despite the dated outfits and the stereotypical characters, there are some really originat characters as well. Eric is a good character, as is Pam, Jason and Amelia. Sookie's ok...we would just not be besties... I read each of these books (there are 7 in the box set) in about a 24 hour period. If I didn't have two rugrats that keep me pretty busy during the day I would have finished them earlier. The stories are dangerous and sexy, quite funny at times, and once I started one it was a challenge to put it down. Part of me was hoping that the last book in the box set was the last book in the series, since I would occasionally like to read something else, but when I got to the end of book 7 and realized that there is another book, I was just annoyed that I would have to wait to read it. Loved all the books, the first one seems badly written but once I got into the second, I was hooked!!

Charlaine Harris has been a published novelist for over thirty-five years. A native of the Mississippi Delta, she grew up in the middle of a cotton field. Charlaine lives in Texas now, and all of her children and grandchildren are within easy driving distance. Prior to becoming a vampire, Bill was a tax accountant, where he was noted for being an exceptional worker. The relationship between Bill and Sookie is getting closer to a normal human relationship. They have fights, they buy gifts, they do human things together.

While the extent of his new powers are not fully understood, it has been revealed in season 6 that he is impervious to staking, he no longer needs an invitation to enter a human home, and that he involuntarily has visions of the future. He is also able to command Warlow, Lilith's only known progeny and Sookie's love interest. After drinking Warlow's blood, Bill is able to walk in the sun. Using this power, he is able to kill Governor Truman Burrell and his guards in an effort to save Jessica.René plays a role in the HBO original series True Blood. The main antagonist of the first season, René follows the same path as in the book, with the exception of getting arrested. He winds up getting murdered by Sookie, instead.

For example: Bubba. We all know who Bubba is don't we? But the secrecy of bot saying his name is so (dare i say it) suspenseful! For awhile I taped soap operas and watched them at night when I thought I might be forgetting what it was like to be human. After a while I stopped, because from the examples I saw on those shows, forgetting humanity was a good thing.” Sookie stops by Merlotte's and ends up having sex with Sam for the first time. Sookie tells Sam they must take it slow. She wants to be sure he's not a rebound relationship. Sookie, Sam, Jason and Michele go to Stomping Sally's to dance. Sookie is kidnapped by Johan Glassport, Steve Newlin and Claude Crane. Sookie manages to escape and runs from her kidnappers into the safety of a large group of people from Stomping Sally's, who have chased behind the van in an effort to save Sookie. Claude smashes Steve Newlin's head, who confesses that he and Johan killed Arlene. Johan and Claude are shot dead. Real Murders which is Harris’ first novel and the first of eight of Aurora Teagarden mysteries was released in year 1990.
